On June 28th 2009, I went to my very first Gay Pride Parade and in of ALL places New York City! I went with a good friend of mine, the weather was perfect. We had an amazing time.....

It was such an unbelievably beautiful and outstanding experiment, I wore a homemade tie dye shirt, my birthday leis(they were rainbow), baggy shorts and of course my Butterfly wings(I'm the one on the right)!

I have always been proud of who I am, but New York City's parade made me love it even MORE! But just think, 40 years ago NYC didn't always love the gay community as much as it does now!

Even though we as a gay community still has quit away to go until 100% equality in this world. "With each step of a 1000 miles journey, we keep getting closer"

There were some AMAZING queens there.....the drag kind. And actually one of the people hosting the event was Sybill( a very hilarious drag queen ), unfortunately I couldn't get a good enough picture of him!
